2026- 2027 Common Activity "T.A.B.L.E (Traditions Across Borders: Learning Etiquette)"

2026/10/28 45

Title: T.A.B.L.E (Traditions Across Borders: Learning Etiquette)

Tagline: Every Table Tells a Story
T.A.B.L.E is a two-phase cultural exchange activity that lets BRIDGE Club members explore and share dining etiquette and traditions from different cultures. The activity is based on the idea that a dining table is more than a place to eat; it is a place where people express respect, hospitality, traditions and cultural values. Through this, BC members will first introduce their own dining etiquette, then connect with another BRIDGE Club to learn about and showcase another culture’s dining etiquette.

Phase 1: OUR DINING TABLE

Show your own culture.

Each BRIDGE CLUB will gather in person as a group (at least 4 BC members).

Members will demonstrate and explain their own country’s dining etiquette and traditions. (at least 2)

You can choose from the following questions:

●       How people sit at the table

●       How food is served or shared

●       How utensils are used

●       What is considered polite or impolite

●       Traditional phrases or gestures before/after a meal

The BC will create a 1-minute video showcasing their dining etiquette and post it on their own BC’s social media platform.

Participation: BC must participate as a group.

Mandatory videos: Each BC can submit only 1 video demonstrating their country’s dining culture and etiquette.

📅 Deadline: 15 January 2027

Phase 2: LEARN FROM ANOTHER TABLE

Discover another culture.

Each BRIDGE CLUB will be paired with another BRIDGE CLUB from another country and arrange a video call with them. The two BCs will interact and demonstrate their respective dining etiquette to each other. After the exchange, each BC will create a 1-minute video demonstrating at least 2 dining etiquette rules they learned from the other BC. The video should also include a screenshot from the video call as evidence of the cultural exchange. It should clearly show the BC or country whose dining etiquette was learned.

Participation: Each BC must have at least 4 members participating in the group activity.

Mandatory Videos : Each BC must create at least 2 videos for Series 2:

1. One Group Video.

2. One Individual Video: (created by an individual BC member demonstrating the dining etiquette of a BC of their choice).

Both videos should demonstrate dining etiquette learned from another culture/BC.

 📅 Deadline: 31 April 2027

How Will the Winner Be Selected?
The main success criterion will be cross-cultural collaboration.
Each BC can create as many videos as they want, but they must include the BC they’re paired with. Individual members can create a video about the country of their choosing.

The winners can be based on:

  1. Most creative,
  2. Had a unique idea,
  3. Most aesthetic,
  4. Created the most videos.
